Water Rising
The sharp definition of the horizontal and vertical elements represent the force of water as it interacts with the land.
This piece was inspired by the flooding of Lake of Two Mountains. The rising water level was a daily concern as homes, roads, parks and woodlands became submerged. It was a time of high emotion.
When we lose respect for nature, it reveals its mighty power.
